The South East South Australia Pipeline (SESA) plays a key role in supplying natural gas to the southeastern region of South Australia.
The South East South Australia Pipeline (SESA) plays a key role in supplying natural gas to the southeastern region of South Australia.
APA’s SESA pipeline supplies natural gas from the SEA Gas Pipeline at Poolaijelo in western Victoria, to SA’s South East Pipeline System (SEPS) at Katnook, and to the Australian Gas Networks’ distribution network, at Ladbroke Grove.
The SEPS pipeline then travels 70 km to Snuggery, near Millicent, and the Australian Gas Network’s distribution centre in Mount Gambier
Gas enters the SESA pipeline from the SEA Gas pipeline. It is sourced from the offshore Otway basin gas fields near Port Campbell and the western underground gas storage at Iona in southern Victoria.
The single direction southern-haul (from SEA Gas Pipeline) is 40 TJ/D.
The SESA Pipeline is a non-scheme pipeline, which means that tariffs are set by agreement or, failing agreement, by an arbitrator.
